Symbolic link between PECL and PHP for OCI8?

In CVS, the OCI8 extension is symbolically linked between PECL and the PHP ext directory. This isn't true in SVN. I.e. In http://svn.php.net/php/php-src/branches/PHP_5_3/ext/ there is no "oci8" directory. Unless the release packaging tools are changed to specifically pick up OCI8, can the appropriate sym link(s) be created?
