RE: [SVN-MIGRATION] Github

Given the kind of community we are (empower maintainers to manage their modules, want to have a low barrier to entry, few contributors have experience with more complex configuration management tools incl. dealing with more complex branches) it does seem that at least at this point SVN would be lower risk. I still believe SVN has some considerable advantages over CVS and even that move, while not revolutionary, would deliver considerable benefits to the project.
This is just with keeping the broad contributor base in mind as I have worked with quite a few version control systems and have been able to get used to all of them.
