Hi Craig,

I'm an organiser at PHPNW in Manchester, but I actually live in Leeds
so you can expect to see me at the groups.  My advice is that you
don't need funding or a meetup group - PHPNW uses a mailing list,
upcoming.org and facebook, which works really well and doesn't cost
money.  Personally I think that's a lot of outlets to manage (we have
an IRC channel as well) but we keep them in sync somehow!

For the first meeting, a meet and greet and "how should this work?"
discussion is fine, but someone should ensure we do that rather than
just drink, and we should probably take some notes.  Going forward I
recommend finding some technical content for each meeting, so people
have a reason to come - but not for the whole meeting so we can still
network and discuss.  If you are struggling for presenters, now or at
any point in the future, I'm more than happy to step in (I present
often on the wider PHP circuit, so will be able to come up with
something as needed).
