So awesome to see new user groups starting in different parts of the world!

Ours just turned one year old. And I=E2=80=99ve had an amazing experience
organizing and leading it. Getting involved is the best decision in my
career so far! I hope you have a good experience too!

Even if it starts slow don=E2=80=99t give up. A few friends over a beer tal=
king php
is enough in the beginning and it will grow naturally from there.
As other people already said, experiment with the time, the day, the
format. Also you can switch those from time to time.

Another thing is, if you want to start hosting talks you=E2=80=99ll have to=
 speak
yourself, a lot. It can be scary if haven=E2=80=99t done it, but it=E2=80=
=99s worth it. You
lean a lot and people will get motivated to do it as well by seeing the
example.

Lastly to all organizers in the list thank you for what you=E2=80=99re doin=
g for
your local community!
