Thanks for all the great suggestions. My employer has been nice enough to allow us to use one of the meeting rooms in the evenings so time isn't really an issue. Granted, I don't want to be at work all night long but at least I can leave the Q+A session or presentation go as long as it needs too. I was on the fence about the Introductions thing myself Cal, so I think I'll just leave that to open time: 6:30-7:00 - Arrival time with snacks/food 7:00-7:15 - Announcements (community, goings-on, etc) 7:15-8:00 - Main Presentation 8:00-8:15 - Beginner Presentation 8:00-? - Code Review Q+A And then probably shop talk afterwards at a bar. I like the idea of doing a little mini presentation over beginner topics, and that can bleed over into Q+A.
