ug.php.net ?

Hi there

While I'm posting UG stuff I was wondering what has happened with the
ug.php.net subdomain.

Many years ago we (now sydphp) were able to secure the
sydney.ug.php.netsubdomain. We moved servers about a year after and
were unable to get the
subdomain delegated to the new server as the person in control of DNS at
php.net was not answering (hence sydphp.org was born). sydney.ug.php.net is
still pointing at the old host.
The only other group I know of using ug.php.net is Melbourne (
http://melbourne.ug.php.net)

I was wondering if anything is going to be done with ug.php.net as a
usergroup directory for instance and for various groups to grab their
subdomain ? The other sydphp organisers and myself were floating the idea of
developing and managing a site for all the php groups - where you could
start a group with all the tools that you need and then customise
layout/content as required.

So, any news on ug.php.net ?
