Fellow UG Admins,

Thank you for allowing me to use a moment of your time. I'm sure many
of you know I (and the South Florida PHP Users Group) am organizing the
SunshinePHP Developer Conference in Miami, Florida for February 8th -
9th, 2013 (http://sunshinephp.com). This is a conference being put on
"by developers for developers" (read "not profit driven", which is
evident from the non-$700+ entry fee.), and while we have some great
sponsors to help with expenses, it is a PHP community event from its core.

I'm sending this message to the UG admin list to enlist your help. While
I am able to handle the organization, and other areas needed to get this
thing running, I do not have the "reach" required to ensure we get as
many people involved as needed. So here is my request:

 1. We have had great success with getting talk proposals from around
the globe, and the committee's job is going to be very difficult to
pick the best ones. However, please continue to mention this to
potential speakers so the submissions keep coming.
 2. *Please help us spread the word to your group members.* Our Early
(blind) Bird registration rate is only available until the end of
    the month.

It will be nice, sunny, and warm in Florida for this February conference
when everyplace else is cold. :)

On another note, I have been asked by some in the community about
community level sponsorship opportunities. On the advice of a few I
have created a community level sponsorship for the SunshinePHP Developer
Conference of $100. While it is more important that we get the word
spread, please let me know if you wish to help out. Thanks.
