John, Perhaps you could elaborate on why you think this would be a good idea for SDPHP. If your situation warrants it, do it, but the consensus seems to be that it's not worth the effort for a "normal user group". I'm curious to hear reasons why it would be helpful. -Patrick On Tue, Feb 26, 2013 at 10:17 AM, Richard Lynch <[email protected]> wrote: > Unless you have a driving need to be a NPO, it's just a lot of useless > paperwork. > > > Sent from my iPhone > > On Feb 25, 2013, at 3:03 PM, John Congdon <[email protected]> wrote: > > > I am considering making SDPHP a non-profit organization. > > > > Has anyone else done this for their group? > > If you have thought about it, but have not done so, was there a reason? > > > > > > > > -- > > > > John Congdon > > e: [email protected] > > t: @sdphp > > f: https://www.facebook.com/groups/SanDiegoPUG/ > > i: irc://irc.freenode.net/sdphp > > > > For meetup information: http://www.meetup.com/SanDiegoPHP > > > > > > The information contained in this email communication may be > confidential and legally privileged.
