Meeting Space

Hi all!

Our NashvillePHP.org meeting was Tuesday and I learned something that I
thought I'd share.  Normally, when I start looking for event space, the
first place I look to is recruiters, second is usually co-working space,
etc. I'm sure you have your list as well. This month, we were hosted by a
moderate sized company here in Nashville, TN-US and I was surprised at the
facility. It was a training room big enough to hold 50-60 in classroom
style. (Tables) There was power on each of the tables, the wifi was
easily accessible, they had 3 screens w/projectors AND they recorded the
meeting for us.

Now I knew this company existed as they are one of the better PHP shops in
town. But I had no idea that they had a facility like this.

The thing I learned is to widen my net when casting about for meeting
space. Find the good shops and ask them. Most aren't going to have
something this nice...but some will, and those are the ones you want to get
to know better. :)

So, that's my lesson, what lessons have you learned when casting about for
meeting space?
