Good luck with your new group! My number 1 advice would be to promote  as
much as you can. It's a bit general, but without people, ya see? :)

Connect with other UGs, you can find them all on php.ug, and check out
https://wiki.php.net/usergroups/handbook which is a work in progress. Any
feedback on that wiki is gratefully received :)
