I speak at a lot of conferences, and I think two days between them is plenty, especially since they are close to the same time zone (only one hour apart). PHP UK Conference in London, England and Confoo in Montreal, Canada are only one day apart, and a lot of speakers, including me, do both with many speakers flying straight to Confoo from PHP UK, and there is a 6 hour difference in time zones there, so only one day between the two is much more difficult than two days between conferences in similar time zones, so I don't think you have to worry about speakers picking one over the other.
