Thanks for the mention, Ben! You can see our mug at
http://atlantaphp.org/presenting/. It's much larger than it looks in the
photo. :) I know San Diego PHP does something similar with a pint beer
glass. Just saw John's post - regarding the numbers, we just put a small
v2.0 in the lower corner when we changed the logo design.

I recalled from a few years ago that php[tek] (2011 or 2012?) had
conference badges you earned by visiting sponsor tables (or arbitrarily
entertaining the phparch team, hehe), that were actual physical items like
American Boy/Girl Scout badges (as opposed to virtual). They gave you a
strip of velcro to put on your laptop bag and you stuck the badges on as
you went. Your badges were counted as well, so each one you got became an
entry in a grand prize drawing at the end of the conference. I think
SunshinePHP might have done this before too.

We've also thought about something like what Christopher mentioned for
AtlantaPHP, but it's been quite a while since it came up and we never got
out of the idea stage. I had thought of awards like "Perfect Attendance"
for a calendar year, various forms of "Traveler" for attending or
presenting at groups outside Atlanta, "Conference Hopper" for most
conferences attended in a year, and "Gift of Gab" or "Talk Veteran" for
frequent presenters. We've had a couple people who've presented to us 3-4
times over the years, so maybe 5 talks would be a big milestone.

Hope this jogs some ideas!
