You might want to try a Beginner's Tutorial at the start of a meeting,
rather than separate meetings...

Say a half-hour on some basics, a snack break, and then the Advanced
Presentation.

Folks who want to skip the Beginner's stuff come late, folks who are
just "lost" for the last hour at least feel like they got something
out of the first part.

Networking amongst all in the middle.

I did that in Chicago and few times, and it worked well, though coming
up with a Beginner topic that wasn't TOO beginner was tough...
