I agree that we should remove the DFR since it is not supported in X2 mode.

We should probably implement LDR.  Each emulated APIC knows what its logical destination ID is (it has to do this to handle IPIs correctly) and therefore it can supply the correct value of LDR.  This is certainly more secure for the guest OS than having the guest OS rely on getting the correct ID from the untrusted host.

As mentioned in my previous two emails, the DFR is no longer needed and isn’t supported in X2APIC. Should we remove the DFR from the Alternate Injection spec?

Also, the LDR isn’t currently implemented in the SVSM. Should we plan to add it, or remove it from the spec as well?
