[diamon-discuss] Submitting name for nomination as chair of Diagnostic and Monitoring Workgroup / Some News

Hi,

I would like to submit my own name, Mathieu Desnoyers, for
nomination as chair of the Diagnostic and Monitoring Workgroup
for year 2020.

Since the creation of the Diamon Workgroup by Dominique Toupin,
then at Ericsson, and myself, back in 2014, we have hosted yearly
Tracing Summit events (see https://tracingsummit.org/ "Past Editions"
section for the full conference schedules and video recordings). This
follows a tradition we started back in 2008.

A bit of relevant news for this year:

With the COVID-19 situation onfolding, we have chosen to skip year
2020 for the Tracing Summit, to limit the uncertainty about willingness
of speakers to submit talks, and travels restrictions which may still
be in place for an event this Fall.
