To those concerned,=0A= =0A= After years of development, the DiaMon Workgroup announces that it will=0A= publish the official specification of the Common Trace Format, version 2=0A= based on its latest release candidate, CTF2-SPECRC-9.0 [1].=0A= =0A= Indeed, we now possess sufficient implementation code to be very=0A= confident that CTF2-SPECRC-9.0 does not contain any major errors or=0A= omissions, taking into account the goals of the format.=0A= =0A= Consequently, we will publish the CTF2-SPEC-2.0 document in two weeks,=0A= barring any significant and justified objection in response to this=0A= email.=0A= =0A= Although its form may change in the future, for instance to add examples=0A= or to make them interactive, its content shall remain as is in=0A= perpetuity. In other words, we do not anticipate to publish=0A= CTF2-SPEC-2.1: any additions or changes, which we will document as part=0A= of new DiaMon documents, will be made through the new metadata stream=0A= attribute [2] or extension [3] instruments.=0A= =0A= [1]: https://diamon.org/ctf/files/CTF2-SPECRC-9.0rA.html=0A= [2]: https://diamon.org/ctf/files/CTF2-SPECRC-9.0rA.html#attrs=0A= [3]: https://diamon.org/ctf/files/CTF2-SPECRC-9.0rA.html#ext=0A= =0A= I hope you have a very good day,=0A= =0A= Philippe Proulx=0A= EfficiOS Inc.=
