If you analyse that document for the worst case outcome (no separate Maintainer Summit) and ask what does it say we should do it says TAB chair should become $ORGANIZER (instead of MS organizer) and the TAB will pick the attendees for the succession meeting. That's not to say we shouldn't update the process, but to point out the contingency is actually covered in the existing document. Regards, James
