That's what I did in Version 9 of the patchset here: https://lore.kernel.org/ linux-arm-kernel/[email protected]/ Though I did run afoul of the naming rule (my enum has "MFD" in it, which kinda has the implementation detail that the driver is an MFD driver baked into it), so I'll address that in v10.
