I'm just not 100% sure that we'll never have an unversioned TLV. I'd suggest keeping it simple and clear: the spec requires VERS tags, and the driver rejects TLVs that don't comply. If someone creates TLVs without following the spec, then that's just...well, I don't know what it is, but it's wrong and we don't have to care about it. thanks, -- John Hubbard
