unfortunately, this version seems still cause big regression if applying to
latest mainline.
I picked the latest mainline tip (eb3f4b7426) when I checked then apply your
new patch. build both of them with same config as attached (no diff with the
one used for previous patch, but still attached for easy access), then run
same tests on same mechine, 8 times for both eb3f4b7426 and 6684ba4489, summary
results are as below. full comparison is in [1]
