RE: Experience with new model Brother DCP-L2600D - no IPP-over-USB support?

At least with the DCP-L2640DW, I don't think it would be a paperweight
for Linux if Wi-Fi or Ethernet are used, as according to the following
page:
  https://www.brother-usa.com/products/dcpl2640dw

The DCP-L2640DW supports AirPrint, Brother Mobile Connect, Mopria and
Wi-Fi Direct.

I suspect it was a different model that didn't have driverless support,
(unless they were referring to USB).

Regarding the originally mentioned DCP-L2600D, looking at the specs for that
model and others in the series:

Looks like the DCP-L2600D is the only one in the series that is USB only,
which is a shame when they don't support IPP-over-USB with their USB 2.0
port (but do with Wi-Fi and Ethernet for the other models in the series).
