Correct, and we are just working on implementing the follow-on standard in the PWG (I am the main author)  at:

CUPS 2.5 will be the first release of CUPS with OAuth support.  I can't definitively say when CUPS 2.5 will enter beta testing, but I'm hoping sometime in the next few months...

Currently Windows is the only OS supporting OAuth for IPP printing, and then only for Azure Universal Print queues (where the usage of OAuth and IPP is somewhat "muddied"...)
