Hi George,

In order to use FTL with emulated OCSSD drive in QEMU you need to get QEMU from this branch: https://github.com/spdk/qemu/tree/spdk-3.0.0
Please refer to section "FTL usage with OCSSD nvme bdev" and "Configuring QEMU " in https://spdk.io/doc/ftl.html

In "Configuring SPDK" section you have example how to create FTL bdev.

You can also look in spdk/test/ftl/ directory for examples how to use ocssd bdev with fio or bdevperf.

Thanks,
Wojtek

Subject: [SPDK] how to use the OCSSD bdev in the qemu by writing my own program?

Dear all,
I have followed the steps which described by the web site https://spdk.io/doc/ftl.html. But i still do not know how to use the OCSSD bdev in the qemu by writing my own program. There is no example code that i can learn from. So can you give me a example code?

Thanks,

George
