Hello everyone,

Merge window for SPDK 24.05 is now closed. Formal release will take place b=
y May 24th.

Branch "v24.05.x" is created and last patch on it tagged "v24.05-rc1".

Any critical fixes identified shall be submitted to master branch and hash =
tagged "24.05".
Those will be backported to the "v24.05.x" branch.

Development can continue without disruptions on "master" branch. Please rem=
ember to rebase,
to correctly track any API changes against newest release.
