I occasionally run for tab, just because I would like somehow, to find
a way for the linux foundation to refocus on the problems of the
increasingly long and increasingly scary tail of embedded linux, in
everything. Or somehow deal with the steady deterioration of even
basic forms of GPL compliance, like what happened recently in the
cambium vs ubnt "elevate" case. Or pay attention to increasing FCC
interest like the FCC cybersecurity label program and title-ii
regulation.

These days it seems that far too many believe how software development
is done is by magic, that all an org needs to do is publish a spec,
and an infinite number of free programmers appear to implement it. I
recently read a document documenting how best to "consume" open source
with no mention of the formerly implicit two way bargain we thought we
were making back in the day :(

But I gave up on the TAB avenue long ago, and strongly support jon's
renomination for TAB for all that he does so amazingly well for the
linux community, and in keeping lwn a great place to keep learning
about it.

Soldier on!

PS It would be nice if in addition to the code of conduct there were
some solid engineering principles espoused harder, as in  "telling the
truth", and "show me the code" are better than "being nice". My
diplomacy, never good, is increasingly strained.
