Question about contributing to XDP2

Hello,
I have been exploring the XDP2 project and am interested in 
contributing. To begin, I would like to start with some small changes, 
such as fixing a number of typos I found while going through the source 
code and documentation. Before getting started, I wanted to ask about 
the preferred process for contributions. Should patches be sent to this 
mailing list for review, or are contributions accepted directly via 
GitHub pull requests? Also, are there any contribution guidelines or 
documents I should follow when preparing patches? Thanks.
