[PATCHSET RFC 6.12] xfs: bug fixes for 6.12.y LTS

Hi all,

Here's a bunch of bespoke hand-ported bug fixes for 6.12 LTS.

If you're going to start using this code, I strongly recommend pulling
from my git trees, which are linked below.

With a bit of luck, this should all go splendidly.
