Hi all, Reporting silent internal speakers on a HP Pavilion All-in-One Desktop 27-ca2xxx with a Realtek ALC274 codec. The PCI subsystem ID is reported as 103c:0000 by the BIOS, which prevents any HP-AiO fixup from matching, and the autoconfig misclassifies the internal speaker pin. Result: no audio from internal speakers or 3.5mm headphone jack. HDMI audio works. System ====== Hardware: HP Pavilion AiO 27-ca2xxx, SKU 6L7D6AV CPU/iGPU: Intel i7-13700T / Intel UHD 770 (Raptor Lake) BIOS: F.10 (2023-07-11), Secure Boot disabled OS: Fedora 44 Workstation (fresh install) Kernel: 7.0.6-200.fc44.x86_64 Codec: Realtek ALC274 (PCI SSID 103c:0000) Audio stack: PipeWire + WirePlumber Symptoms ======== - Internal analog speakers produce no sound. - 3.5mm headphone jack produces no sound. - HDMI outputs work correctly. - Codec is detected; PipeWire creates an analog sink with the correct active port (analog-output-speaker), unmuted, volume above zero. - `speaker-test -c 2 -t sine -f 440 -l 1` runs cleanly with no audible output through either speakers or headphones. Without a matching HP-AiO fixup, neither output produces sound. Things tried ============ 1. Verified PipeWire/PulseAudio configuration: correct default sink, not muted, volume above zero, active port analog-output-speaker. 2. ALSA mixer: Master ~40%, unmuted. No Speaker or PCM control exists. 3. speaker-test runs without errors but produces no audible output via speakers or 3.5mm headphones. 4. Module reload with model=alc274-fixup-hp-aio-bind-dacs — parameter was accepted but the codec module still reported an empty fixup name and unchanged autoconfig. 5. hdajackretask: overrode pin 0x17 to "Internal speaker", clicked "Apply now". Codec reconfigured at runtime but audio remained silent; the analog sink temporarily disappeared from PipeWire until reboot. 6. Confirmed no third-party modprobe configs interfering (/etc/modprobe.d/ contains only stock Fedora blacklists). 7. Fresh Fedora 44 install (wiped previous setup entirely) — same behavior, ruling out user-side config corruption. 8. Verified HDMI audio works correctly (sink alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1f.3.hdmi-stereo), confirming the rest of the stack is healthy. What would help =============== - An ALC274 fixup entry in patch_realtek.c matching this HP AiO. Since the PCI SSID is 103c:0000 and unreliable as a match key, possibly a DMI-based quirk (product 27-ca2xxx / SKU 6L7D6AV) is needed. - Alternatively, guidance on a working hda-jack-retask.fw pin override set that would bind pin 0x17 as an internal speaker and actually engage the speaker amp. Attempts so far have not produced sound. Full /proc/asound/card1/codec#0 attached as codec-dump.txt. Happy to test patches. Thanks, Ted -
