I want to rebuild linux-3.16.3-200.fc20.x86_64 with options:
CONFIG_GENERIC_CMOS_UPDATE=3Dn
CONFIG_X86_TSC=3Dn

But it seams that "make olddefconfig" enables these options again becau=
se of dependencies.

I found the "select GENERIC_CMOS_UPDATE" entries in  arch/*/Kconfig fil=
es - if I remove them, I am able to build a kernel with CONFIG_GENERIC_=
CMOS_UPDATE=3Dn.
It's selected by default but does not seam to be necessary isn't it?

I am not able to disable CONFIG_X86_TSC.
It seams that Xen (arch/x86/xen/Kconfig) depends on X86_TSC - so I disa=
bled all the XEN stuff.
May arch/x86/Kconfig.cpu (config X86_TSC - def_bool y) is the reason th=
at CONFIG_X86_TSC is enabled again?
I thought it's just on of multiple clock sources isn't it?

It's my first email to a kernel mailing list so please be clement - fee=
tback welcome. :-)
