Suse 7.2 or 6.4, how to use a wheel mouse

Hi 

I am using a cordless  logitech wheel mouse, which  seems only to work
with the ps2 port (and not the USB like in MSwindows :-( )

Whoever the wheel does not work properly, that is 
I installed imwheel,  I can only  scroll up and down, in xemacs and in
and xterm windows but not with the acrobat reader (for which I would
like to use it.)

Can anybody help me?
