By the way, for reference, I found this old email in this same ML which 
seems to describe the same problem as I'm mentioning, with the 
difference that I'm now seeing it running newish linux sctp kernel stack 
on both client+server instead of some "outdated soft/hardware that 
nobody knows how to configure properly, if that is at all possible".  
Unfortunately it got no answers AFAICT (I'm always unsure when looking 
at ML archives, the UIs are not the best ;)
