screensaver prob

I am currently running RH 8.0. I have not enabled the
power options of standby and shutdown, but I have
enabled the screensaver option.

The problem is when I choose a screensaver and test it
in the configuration dialog, everything works fine.
But after the time elapse, a blank screen springs
rather than the screen saver. I dont know if this is a
problem with the cd I installed from or if there is
some option to be disabled.
