In some (most?) window managers, you can specify that a window have no
border -- in Sawfish you would specify a Frame Type of None. Not sure off
hand if the same terminology applies to other window managers, but I have
definitely done this in both Sawfish and Enlightenment.

Subject: X11 terminal

What I want to do is have a tail of my logs displayed on my desktop. Is
there a way to make a borderless terminal? Or some other way to achieve
this? Basically I want the tail to look like it is part of the desktop.
