Hi Yonghong, thanks for the extra info. As you say without the symbol resolution the backtrace isn't super useful. Based on the build-id in the file info for lttng-sessiond, it looks like you might be using the lttng/stable-2.13 ppa. In that case, you could try using debuginfod with gdb to automatically download the symbols.
