Headless IMX93 build and post #yocto

I'm building a device with an IMX93. It is mainly a webserver device so onl=
y needs networking, serial port, CAN and I2C. It does not have any video di=
splay, sound card or bluetooth.
I therefore updated by defconfig by removing everything that seemed redunda=
nt (video drivers, sound cards etc).

But now, my build fails during the do_rootfs stage:

It's not obvious (what is in Yocto) why this now fails. Copilot suggested w=
riting a recipe that writes a dummy *update-desktop-database* (not to be co=
nfused with *update_desktop_database* ). But it seems not to work.

Any ideas? This seems like more of a hack than dealing with the root of the=
 issue. Before I removed the items from defconfig I never saw this error be=
fore. But I do want to remove unneeded items to reduce the size of the kern=
el and the bootup time.
