I would say, include the machine support in meta-freescale-3rdparty.
If I understand correctly. You can use any machine there as a
reference.

Because the machine is already supported on buildroot, it might be
easier to have this as reference as well (so you can take the
u-boot(?) and kernel from there)

But I also want to suggest you to use github for next communication,
we are more active there (issues or discussion
https://github.com/Freescale/meta-freescale/discussions)
