I'm upgrading a customer's older Yocto generated project from dunfell to scarthgap. I've made a lot of progress but my biggest road block right now is the linux-qoriq build. I have built it in the devshell (bitbake -c devshell linux-qoriq) without issue but when I run it just as bitbake linux-qoriq it will fail in the compile process. I have made sure that none of the customer's patches have been applied and I've used a generic 'defconfig' file to make sure it's not their configuration. The odd thing about the compile failure is it can change as to how it fails. However no matter where it fails, it is on code that is well established, no changes have been done and as demonstrated by the devshell build, works fine. I've attached the compile log for one of these failures in case anyone wants to look it over. I'm wondering if I'm running into a toolchain issue here? Would it be a good idea to try and change the compiler's version (lowering it) to see if the compile error goes away? The linux version is 6.6 powerpc64-fsl-linux-gcc: 13.3.0 Any advice as to how to proceed will be much appreciated. Cheers!!
