NPM alternatives

Hi all,
With the NPM fetcher being disabled recently, are there any alternative met=
hods I can use to build NPM packages? Or is it simply not feasible at this =
time due to the security implications.
Unfortunately I have been asked to build a JS program when I am not familia=
r with it!
