Hello advocates

On perl.perl6.users, Paul Johnson advocated reviving use of this 
list/newsgroup for its stated purpose for both Perl 5 and Perl 6.  I concur.

We're having our first New York City Perl6 Beginners study group meeting 
tomorrow:

Our plan is to meet on the first Saturday of the month for five 
consecutive months.  We'll probably have a Perl6 install-fest as part of 
one of our weeknight technical meetings.  And it looks like we'll do an
