AI::Categorizer Benchmarking with...

... various/optimized perl interpreters.

Hi all.

I just tried the following: Downloaded GCC 3.4.2 and Perl 5.8.5. The I
compiled that perl with -O3 and -msse2 (autovectorization)

Because I had nothing better at hand, I tried the demo.pl that comes
with AI::Categorizer with the reuters corpus as benchmark setup.

On a 1.8GHz P4 Notebook my times are as follows

109 seconds with Perl5.8.5 (O3 SSE2) GCC 3.4.2
134 seconds with Perl5.8.0 (O2) GCC 3.3

That's ok - isn't it?
