I used the code on unix machine.
But now the problem is that i am creating  file.png file at location /
var/www/images/file.png

now how to display the same as the default path equals to i.e the root
is /var/www/html/
how to refer to the images directory in this case .which is /var/www/.

when i used <img src='../images/file.png' > and checkced the error_log
it rightly says [Thu Sep 06 18:01:46 2007] [error] [client
192.168.42.88] File does not exist: /var/www/html/images, referer:
http://jeevani/cgi-bin/image.cgi
I was foolish not to check the error log :(
