Once again there was strong interest in this.  Jarkko seems the
obvious choice, as he knows his way around the existing configuration
system and has had experience on a variety of platforms.

Ask, please create:

  WORKING GROUP: perl6-build
  CHAIR: Jarkko Hietaniemi <[email protected]>
  DEADLINE: 13 October 2000
  MISSION: To develop RFCs on the configuration and build process of Perl.

This will cover configuring Perl with Perl, how perl5 and perl6 will
build and install side-by-side, and similar topics.
