You will require people with interest and a direction. Simplicity and
focus are the razor.

You can take the most talented group of people on the planet and still
fail unless there are well defined goals, good communication, simplicity
and some sort of reward at the end of the journey.

A leader who details the overall goals with high, but well defined
expectations and encourages the good things while discouraging the
marginal is likely to succeed.
