and it doesn't matter as long as I'm maintaining the list software.

besides running qmail/ezmlm that's probably the only thing I'm not
going to bend on.

I find having this:

:0 Wh: msgid.lock
| formail -D 16384 .msgid.cache

in my .procmailrc very useful.
