RE: message board system

The message board I have been working with and have helped to debug and add 
features to is called DCForum.  (http://www.dcscripts.com).  David Choi has 
done a great job over the past few years with this program.  While the 
internal scripts  may be a tad complex the real strength is in it's ease of 
use and familiarity.  There are many features that would help make 
exchanging ideas much easier.

Some features:
* Multiple Forum Abilities (ie. perl6 code suggestions, perl6 wishlist, etc)
* Open or moderated forums
* Registration required or public post ability
* Each post shows date posted, how many people have viewed the post and how 
many replies.
* Ablility to include some HTML in posts for links/images/font changes
* File upload/share ability
* Auto archive old posts
* Ability to Search individual forums or the entire board.

I think it would take people about a week to embrace this new system and 
see the huge benefits over email.  It would probably be best to run the 
board from the perl.org/perl6 area so that it would look official but it's 
not absolutely necessary.  I don't really know who's stamp of approval I 
need to start.  If anyone knows the bigwigs, please ask them to contact 
me.  I'm here to help.
