Are you on that automatically when you /are/ an admin?

Bugs for sure are valid if they are reproducable in either 5.6.1 or 5.7.1, so
open bugs with code snippets are a fine place to trace bugs that can be closed.
I found it hard though to reproduce most of it, cause many of them are very
much dependant on a specific situation (read machine/OS/C compiler
version/libc/...) that I do not have.

Another *valuable* way to start closing bugs is to find duplicates. With the
black hole syndrom that we just left behind, the chances of dups in the last 4
month is large. Duplicate bugs can be marked duplicate (note to what bug they
relate please) and are from than on not open anymore ;-)

OK, here's the way I work when I can spare the time. I download the latest
database snapshot and the latest db design, to mirror the db on a local
machine, so I can browse it (using my - now probably bogus - tk interface).
That way I collect bug-ID's that can be closed, which I do over the web
interface, noting that for some bugs some other bugsquahes has beaten me.

Well, I think I have to re-visit the Tk interface, so we can re-open the
hunting season ...
