Dear all,

     I am facing a problem when i try to install modules using cpan.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[root@gridsupport rt-3.6.0]# perl -MCPAN -e shell
CPAN: File::HomeDir loaded ok

cpan shell -- CPAN exploration and modules installation (v1.8802)
ReadLine support enabled

 cpan[1]> install Bundle::RT
CPAN: Storable loaded ok
Going to read /root/.cpan/Metadata
  Database was generated on Wed, 01 Nov 2006 15:24:03 GMT
CPAN: LWP::UserAgent loaded ok
Can't call method "can" without a package or object reference at
/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/CPAN.pm line 2904.

 cpan[2]>
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is not restricted to this module, almost all the modules are giving
this error with the exception of Bundle::CPAN.

The OS is RHEL AS4 and perl is the version which came with it. Has anyone
seen these type of errors before? If so, please help me out with this.

Thanks and Regards
Sujith Emmanuel
