Hello,

I run a Linux from Scratch system and for Perl I keep the modules updated u=
sing cpan (/usr/local/bin/cpan version 1.64, same file is under perl-source=
 directory utils/cpan). When I type =E2=80=9Cr=E2=80=9D to get the newest =
packages, the output contains

Package namespace installed latest in CPAN file
XML::SemanticDiff::BasicHandler    1.0006    1.0007  PERIGRIN/XML-SemanticD=
iff-1.0007.tar.gz

for very, very long time. According to https://metacpan.org/pod/XML::Seman=
ticDiff#BUGS anomalies should be reported at https://github.com/shlomif/per=
l-XML-SemanticDiff/issues .

As can be seen at https://github.com/shlomif/perl-XML-SemanticDiff/issues/1=
0 this problem was reported also by others in 2020 and then was pointed out=
, that the package has a new maintainer, who shall enable updates 1.0006 =
=E2=86=92 1.0007.

But https://github.com/shlomif/perl-XML-SemanticDiff/issues/11 from 2022 st=
ill indicates the problem exists, and https://github.com/shlomif/perl-XML-S=
emanticDiff/issues/12 opened by me in March does reiterate the problem.

At https://metacpan.org/release/PERIGRIN/XML-SemanticDiff-1.0007/source/lib=
/XML/SemanticDiff/BasicHandler.pm#L6 is written our $VERSION =3D '1.0006';

I kindly ask you to take measures so that the cpan command can upgrade from=
 1.0006 to 1.0007, the servers stop reporting version 1.0007, or anything s=
imilar.

Kind regards
