I need to do some (un)real work, before hacking perl anymore. mymalloc/system malloc sfio -DCONSERVATIVE -DSLOPPYDIVIDE [and possibly -DNO_PERL_PRESERVE_IVUV] were some of the things I was considering smoking. What is PERL_OBJECT (is it still supported, does it need smoking?) Nicholas Clark
