This is true for "nmake" and "Makefile". I used to patch it up to insert those 
"/q"'s before smoking (which is why I got involved in the smoke suite), but 
never got around to posting the patch [it was lost when my previous laptop 
died:-(].

We still need a patch to do this, but that has to go to 
<[email protected]>, or just file a bug report with perlbug, with the 
patch included.

Yes, we are interested in the results of a DOT-NET build of bleadperl, and it 
would probably also be nice to know if dmake && makefile.mk with DOT-NET will 
work. 
This is pioneering stuff (although I believe we have had successful builds of 
5.7.[23] with DOT-NET)
